Facilities Assistant

Novavine, a large production grapevine, olive tree, and citrus
tree nursery, has an immediate opening for an assistant in our Facilities and Maintenance
Department.
The
Facilities Assistant completes various maintenance projects with direction from
Facilities leaders. Projects include installing, inspecting, repairing, and
maintaining buildings and systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing,
and waste management.
Duties
and Responsibilities:
- Completion of improvement projects and
service requests
- Operate various machinery and work
collaboratively on construction assignments
- Provide groundskeeping maintenance
throughout the property
- Prioritize tasks according to a
schedule
- Follows safety standards to the highest
level
- Willingness to jump in to get the job
done
- Performs other related duties as
assigned
- High School diploma or the equivalent
of experience
- Experience in maintenance, facilities,
or electrical repair
- Ability to operate power tools with a
focus on safety
- Analyze and problem-solving
capabilities
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is
highly preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects to 50+
pounds, with long periods of standing, climbing, stretching, and reaching
- Can work outside and withstand various weather conditions
